The 30 highest major summits of the Rocky Mountains all rise within Colorado. However, Colorado scenery is more than just mountains and snow. It's a great place to find images of the wonders of the night, mountain lakes & streams, canyons, plains and desert, mighty stands of aspen gold in the fall, wildflowers, wildlife and more.
With 300 days a year of bright sunlight and so much sun, there is a lot of days with rich or pale blue skies, often with great cloud patterns. Just remember to bring sunscreen, and temperatures drop quite significantly in the mountains even in the summertime so remember to bring layers.
