Georgetown, Colorado
Georgetown is an authentic piece of Colorado history. In 1858, two Kentucky-born men named George and David Griffith set out west in search of gold. On August 1, 1859, George discovered gold at the base of the mountain that now bears the family name. The influx of more prospectors soon gave rise to the town of Georgetown. Georgetown is the county seat of Clear Creek County, Colorado, United States.

Georgetown offers world class attractions  Georgetown Loop Historic RailroadHamill House Museum, and Hotel de Paris Museum, and the Heritage Center, just to name a few. Newby Guanella Pass offers incredible recreational opportunities such as hiking, fishing and mountain biking. Georgetown, Colorado - Interstate 70, on your left, runs along the town which has it's own exit.
The Loveland Ski Area is nearby which has both Ski & Snowboard Areas.
 
The Georgetown Loop Railroad bridge spans 93 feet above Clear Creek.
